A beautiful flower and dessert showcase. Flat glass squares can be bought at Ikea or custom made to fit your table top needs. They they be used over and over in so many different types of party themes because they serve the purpose of display without distracting from the decorative and colorful food, dessert, and floral array. Thanks, Esther!

“Hi Marlene,

Here is a dessert bar I made for a Bar Mitzvah recently. I baked the desserts, arranged the flowers and used glass canisters and sheets to display the desserts. Enjoy,

Esther”

Sculptural Glass and Copper Infused Modern Judaica and Wedding Gifts by Artist Gary Rosenthal

No Comments 01 May 2012

Gary Rosenthal, the popular Judaica artist the has presented works form his collection to the likes of President Carter, Clinton, Obama and celebrities as varied as Bette Midler, John Travolta and Ben Stein. Gary has been welding metals since the early 70′s and has carved his own unique niche in the Judaic sphere.  Combining copper, brass, and steel with brilliant fused glass, the Gary Rosenthal Collection has a contemporary style rooted in tradition. His inspiration comes from the rich history of the Jewish people which tells us it’s a blessing – a mitzvah – to make beautiful, functional, art.

Gary’s works have been viewed worldwide in many fine galleries, private collections, and museum shops including Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery, Corning Museum of Glass, American Craft Museum, B’nai B’rith Museum, The Jewish Museum, Skirball Museum of Culture, and the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.

I really enjoyed going through Gary Rosenthal’s website and choosing my favorite pieces. Each one is a work of art and deserves a special place in your home and

will also be a treasured wedding or housewarming gift. Enjoy these highlights!

Its not too early to start thinking about your Rosh Hashanah table…..

The shards from your broken wedding glass make a wonderful keepsake for years to come….

you can also have your wedding shards forever saved within your custom mezuzah by Gary Rosenthal…

I would buy about four of these, light up some candles, and use them as a romantic centerpiece….

Copper with a patina finish is so gorgeous on a doorpost….

This sculptural woven copper mezuzah deserves a full page in Architectural Digest Magazine….

A delicate mezuzah is the perfect gift for a newborn baby boy…

Another gorgeous baby gift mezuzah by Gary Rosenthal….

A pink ribbon tzedakah box – perfect for Mother’s Day!

Tuck these ornamental dreidels away for your Hanuka table top…

Saving my favorites for last…. a summery kiddush cup, so gorgeous on a table with lavender hydrangeas!

I’m loving these matchboxes as a Shabbat candle lighting accesssory…. the perfect hostess gift.

Send this menorah as a wedding gift  now, and they will keep thanking you way past Hanukkah!

Hope you enjoy these works of art as much as I enjoyed choosing them!
