Dear Hostesses,

Welcome to the new world of Instagram! If you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been updating The Jewish Hostess as often as I’ve been doing in the past, but that doesn’t mean that I’ve been playing hookie! A whole new “instant” world has opened up for me, and its called Instagram. Recently bought by facebook, for $1 billion in just 2 years the app has aquired more than 50 million users. (For more Instagram facts, Click HERE ). In one day, I can share tons of recipes from my iPhone wherever I may be standing on line, as opposed to the limitations of sitting at a computer.

Two weeks ago our #shabbatshalom contest encouraged the sharing of hundreds of Shabbat main courses and desserts.

During Hurricane Sandy alone, we were able to share 150 recipes during our #sandybakeoff!
